Oh A:cha:rya ! our Chief Bhi:shma:cha:rya promised to kill rest of the warriors except Pa:ndavas. Taking this leniency, Pa:ndavas might upset Bhi:shma:cha:rya in different ways. Therefore, all of you must be extra vigilant in safegaurding our Chief from all around, while he was fighting with other battalians. If our Chief is supported like that, he will do the rest of the job and then, we all are anyway here to finish 5 Pa:ndavas. That is not a big job for us. So, be careful in identifying all the key positions from where they might attack on Bhishma:cha:rya, you must keep an eye in appointing suitable hands. This is my order.

Note:

1. When one is enveloped with problems beyond one’s expectations, he should approach the guru for proper guidance, is the rule.

2. Duryo:dhana approached his Guru, when he was also sorrow-sticken, but he never followed any rule, like submitting himself with loyality before the gurus, and receiving their suggestions. Or at least , waiting for a while to hear their opinion.

3. When one is with gurus, they should be appealed for suggestions but not ordered. Here Duryo:dhana was not only disobedient , but also commanding his own guru in his own way with all arrogance and simply turned around and left that place.

4. Hence Duryo:dhana’s sorrow did not become a way out, or a tool, for him. On the contrary, it lead him to end his own life, along with all his kith & kin. This 1st chapter, hence, was not also named after his sorrow.
